Videos for Training & Insight

This video is our plea for respect for parents who have children with special needs. They are going through so much, just navigating daily life. Learn...and be kind!

Peace Place is developing a pediatric respite worker training, and will have it available online soon. The first module is on Parent Respect - a more in depth look than this video.

This video was reviewed by Molly Beck, director of the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center in Great Falls. Thank you Molly!

Another resource is Teach Me to Talk by pediatric speech pathologist Laura Mize. We have learned so much from her podcasts and videos.

This video features after school program supervisor Louisa Libertelli-Dunn. She brings 30 years of experience in managing behavior to Peace Place, and we are happy to share her expertise with you!

Another resource we have found helpful is the regular updates and one-page advice sheets from the Crisis Prevention Institute (crisisprevention.com) They teach principles to avoid crises and better manage them in the first place.

Peace Place has a special sensory/calm room for children with special needs at our main location.
