Meet Our Board
Jan Brown, Chair
A native of Van Nuys, CA, Jan Brown spent her 43-year career conserving natural resources and advancing cooperative, sustainable enterprise across the Northern Rockies. She was the first executive director of the Henry’s Fork Foundation, serving this Idaho river conservation organization for nine years. Following that position, Jan served ten years as the executive director of the Yellowstone Business Partnership, based in Bozeman. Prior to her retirement in September 2019, Jan spent four years forming cooperatively-owned businesses as executive director of the Montana Cooperative Development Center. In retirement, Jan plans on enjoying her cabin near Yellowstone National Park and traveling frequently to visit friends and family across the West.
Sara Buley, Secretary

Sara Buley was born in Salina, Kansas, but grew up in Southern California. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, she spent two years in Honduras with the Peace Corps. Her work included teaching housewives how to work together and improve their diet and sanitation. After a few years as a bilingual employee with the Social Security Administration in San Diego, she began teaching Spanish. Travel and Spanish are her two favorite things. She and her husband moved to Great Falls in 1991. She taught both social studies and Spanish at C M Russell High School, and enjoyed taking students on trips to different Spanish speaking countries over the years. She retired in 2018 and is an elder on the governing board of First Presbyterian Church. In addition to Peace Place, she is active on the board of the Montana Wilderness Association. Sara enjoys hiking and walking her dog along with her daughter.
Kitty Cornwell, Vice Chair
Kitty Cornwell was born in Dayton, Ohio and attended the College of William and Mary, majoring in elementary education. She worked as a nanny for families with children ages 0 - 16 in Connecticut. After her marriage to Gray Cornwell, she moved to New Hampshire where she raised her two daughters. She was the lead teacher for infants at the Berwick Academy Child Care Center, and then spent 7 years as the Town Clerk/Tax Collector of Madbury, NH. She moved to Vaughn, MT in 2017 to be closer to her 3 wonderful grandsons. She is a deacon with First Presbyterian Church and enjoys knitting, reading, traveling, fishing and hunting.
Kathy Keel, Member and PAC Liaison

Katherine Keel was born in San Rafael, California, but grew up here in Great Falls. (Go Bison!) She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Providence and an M.S. in Education and taught preschool and elementary education for 10 years. Since 2011, she has been a family support specialist serving the Part C contract, and is also an Infant and Toddler Developmental Specialist with Benchmark Human Services. She has four children, two boys and two girls, and both a grandson and a pet who enjoy her spoiling them regularly. She loves to read, garden, and do arts and crafts. She is the liaison to the Program Advisory Committee at Peace Place.

Kaycee Beall, Treasurer
Kaycee Beall was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. A Bobcat through and through, she has a B.S. in Sociology from MSU. She worked as a police officer and detective for seven years in Bozeman, and as a physical therapy assistant for Benefis Health System for seven years. She is currently a health and nutrition coach and the full-time mom to two wonderful boys, both of whom attend Peace Place programs. She loves skiing, boating, wakesurfing, golfing and healthy cooking. She is the chair of the Finance Committee at Peace Place.
